Among all dogs, why one of our dachshunds?

Simple: because they are the sweetest and cutest dogs in the world (as long as you don't contradict them!).
But we are a bit biased: if you've never had a dachshund and are thinking of bringing one into your family, here are some good reasons to do so (and some information to help you choose the right dachshund!)
Standard, Miniature, or Kaninchen?
Dachshunds can be divided into three sizes: standard, miniature, and Kaninchen. The size depends on the chest circumference measured at 15 months of age: under 30 cm is Kaninchen, from 30 to 35 cm is miniature, over 35 cm is standard.
A standard dachshund can weigh up to 13 kg as an adult, a miniature can weigh up to 7 kg, and the Kaninchen does not exceed 4 kg.
When can I know the size of my dachshund?
The exact size is determined at 15 months of age, measuring the chest circumference.
Before then, it is not possible to 100% guarantee the future size of the puppy. That said, all our puppies are born from confirmed Kaninchen and miniature parents, so they will all be very small. When a dachshund is just 2-3 months old, it is hard to say what size it will be when grown because it will continue to grow until 8-10 months. The breeder weighs the dachshund every day to make a more accurate estimate.
How does puppy reservation work?
Please note that puppies are considered RESERVED only after a deposit has been made. This means that the chronological order of contact will not be taken into account, as it does not grant any right of priority for the puppy.
